(JACKSON, Mississippi) – Governor Haley Barbour and First Lady Marsha Barbour are delighted to announce the birth of their newest grandchild, Ava Gray Barbour. Ava, the daughter of Reeves and Jackye Barbour, was born on Monday, August 27, 2007. She weighed six pounds, six ounces and measured 19.5 inches long. “Haley and I are thrilled at the arrival of little Ava, and we feel so blessed in our roles as grandparents,” Mrs. Barbour said. “It’s a wonderful experience for us.” Ava is one of three Barbour grandchildren. On December 22, 2005, Adyn Sterling Barbour was born to the Governor and First Lady’s oldest son, Sterling, and his wife Celeste Barbour. The couple also recently celebrated the arrival of Chloe LeFlore Barbour, who was born May 18, 2007. |
