GOV. BARBOUR PRAISES CORRECTIONS COMMISSIONER EPPS FOR RECENT NATIONAL RECOGNITION
Gov. Haley Barbour today congratulated Corrections Commissioner Chris Epps for his recent award from the Association of State Correctional Administrators. Epps was named as Outstanding Director of Corrections for 2011.
"Chris is well deserving of this honor from his peers for his exceptional work as Corrections Commissioner," Gov. Barbour said. "Through his leadership, the Mississippi Department of Corrections has managed its budget responsibly, improved rehabilitation efforts and worked to provide a safe environment for staff. I appreciate his service over the past eight years. Congratulations, Chris."
